RadioMedix Inc., a Biotechnology Company located in Humble, Texas, is seeking an experienced Environmental Monitoring and Facility Maintenance Tech to work in its newly constructed GMP radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.  The successful candidate will play a key role in preparation, quality control analysis, GMP investigations, and supporting activities related to pharmaceutical manufacturing of radioactive diagnostic and therapeutic drug products. 

Job Description:
Mission: support operations team and quality team at RadioMedix Spica as required. Assist with routine maintenance on utility equipment with site engineer supervision. Assist with Radiation Safety routine duties which include daily wipes and surveys, and daily constancies on radiation monitoring equipment. Maintain operational readiness throughout the facility by restocking all gowning supplies and always performing inventory reconciliation on all items in the raw materials room. Assist with routine checks of all fire extinguishers, office light fixtures, facility generator, and air compressor, for proper operation. Report on any issues with facility equipment or building to the Director of Operations.
 

  • Perform Environmental Monitoring responsibilities according to USP <116> standards, cGMP, and ISO14644-1 standards.
  • Sample ISO5, ISO7 and ISO8 areas
  • Maintain proper housekeeping expectations
  • Assist in building maintenance
  • Survey waste for radiation safety
  • Assist in environmental monitoring
  • Be self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team when needed
  • Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance with safety guidelines and SOP’s.
  • Follow and promote on-the-job safety expectations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following cGMP rules and guidelines in all designated areas.
  • Perform all assigned preventive cleaning maintenance on equipment and work orders on time and document all work performed.
  • Perform production set up, take down, and clean up issues in a manner that minimizes downtime.
  • Conduct tasks related to laboratory testing and radiation safety monitoring with proper training
  • Assist with tasks related to production activities, including monitoring and executing pre-production and post-production processes
  • Assist with tasks as needed related to inventory management
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds, etc.)
  • Other Duties assigned

Residency Requirement:
  • Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.

Location:         RadioMedix Spica Center, 19705 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 

Work Conditions:

The work period is typically an 8-hour shift between 8:30 AM and 5 PM, with breaks.  However, the work schedule may require the employee to come in for second or third shift if needed.

Individuals in this position will be exposed to ionizing radiation; however, radiation safety training will be provided, and radiation monitoring is required and ongoing at the facilities.  Any exposure will be within Federal and State limits. Individuals in this position are required to be able to function and maneuver within the work environment without placing self, product or others at risk.
